Reservation based on Casteism or Religion?

Its truly said Delhi jaane ka raasta Uttar Pradesh se hoke jaata hai(to reach Delhi you take path through Uttar Pradesh).
Congress Party playing its Minorty Quota card to counter attack the move of Mayawati's division of state & retain the muslim votebank from SP & BSP.The Union cabinet carved out a sub-quota of 4.5 per cent for the minorities from the 27 per cent reservation for the Other Backward Classes, taking a decision that can alter poll equations in Uttar Pradesh.18% Muslims voters in UP can alter the equations in UP election.
Although sections of Muslims were already covered under the OBC category, a separate provision for the minorities is expected to give them a larger slice of the quota, which has so far been cornered by the Yadavs and Kurmis.
Muslims, who are faced with widespread illiteracy and lack of job skills, didn’t succeed in capturing even two per cent out of the 27 per cent reservation earmarked in government jobs and educational institutions.
The quota within quota is Congress party's dangerous political game, which can lead to a civil war among the different communities and castes.
Vote Bank politics has reached to its epitome  where Congress Party clearly adopting the adopting the policy of DIVIDE & RULE.Nation needs reservation in the system based on economic background & not based on caste or religion.Parliament needs to re-evaluate the constitution

Untouchability: Hindrance to Nation's Development

Untouchability is not unique to India; it was practised in parts of Europe until a few centuries ago, and Japan still has a large number of 'untouchables', called the burakumin. But it is in the Indian sub-continent that this system survives, closely bound with culture, religion, history and contemporary politics. Today over 170 million men, women and children in the India are considered untouchable, and improvement in their lot has been slow despite legal safeguards and government programs.
The Indian Caste System
There are four castes in Hindu society and each caste has assigned duties, responsibilities and privileges. The Brahmins are the learned, the Kshatriyas, Vaishyas are the warriors, the are the traders, and the Sudras perform menial tasks and physical labour. Brahmins are on the highest rung of the social hierarchy, and Sudras are on the lowest. For thousands of years the relations amongst the castes and their sub-castes have been governed by religious and moral laws - the most influential of them is a compilation called Manu Dharma Sastra or the Manu Smriti, believed to have been written around the beginning of the Common Era.

The 'Untouchables'
If this is the lot of the Sudras, what is the treatment reserved for the 'untouchables' who are outside the caste system, and placed even lower than the Sudras in society? In the 1500s, during the rule of the Marathas and the Peshwas in today's Maharashtra state, 'untouchables' were not allowed within the gates of the capital city Poona between 3.00 pm and 9.00 am. The reason was that during this time their bodies were likely to cast long shadows, with the attendant danger that the shadow of an 'untouchable' might fall on a Brahmin and pollute him. An 'untouchable' had to carry an earthen pot around his neck so his spittle may not pollute the earth. In Maharashtra an 'untouchable' wore a black thread either in his neck or on his wrist for ready identification, while in Gujarat a horn had to be worn for identification.
The 'untouchables' constitute 15% of the total population of the sub-continent and have been referred to as Depressed Classes, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. Local names for the 'untouchable communities' vary in different parts of India: Bhangi, Pakhi, Chandala etc. Mahatma Gandhi called them Harijans or children of God. Now they are called Dalits, which means broken people.

Both upper castes and the lower castes need liberation from the oppressive religious ideology which is at the heart of this terrible situation. The Dalits themselves need economic self-sufficiency without which they will be unable to survive. Any long-term solution to this deeply entrenched problem will require a social, cultural and moral transformation of society.
The basis of everyone's rights lies not in their religious identity or affiliation but in their humanity. Dalits need education and training in Human Rights. As victims of superstition, they need exposure to rational thinking. The succour and superstition of another religion will do little to change the lot of the Dalits.
The problem of untouchability is more than an issue of law and order - it is a deep rooted, millennia-old malady that afflicts society. Unless the Dalits have belief in themselves and are empowered to assert their own humanity, unless they themselves discover their inherent human dignity, they will continue to be where they are - on the extreme margins of society.
But empowerment of the Dalits will can only happen when their fractured movement unites on the basis of democratic principles.

India : Autocracy or Democracy?

The question what I need to ask myself or to everyone: "Are we living in democratic country or some Autocratic Country".It seems govt.not insensible towards common man's feelings.Weak Lokpal Bill,Pathetic definition of poverty line,FDI,curbing contents on Social media...HhhUuuuHhhhh.

With Govt.coming up with new regulations to curb contents on social media like Facebook,Twitter,Google & Yahoo shows its panicking. They have seen its powerful impact during Anna & Baba Ramdev's movement earlier.Because it worked in favor these civilians & it was helpful to bend government on its knees.
Kapil Sibal trying to curb contents on these sites.Every citizen has right to put forward their thoughts & he is trying ban their freedom of expression.
He is talking about religious sentiments getting hurt & that may create riots. But at the same time he is forgetting the users are literate & doesn't have time to get involve in riots but yes ofcourse they support certain cause or moment. Why cant he accept that his Boss Mrs.Sonia Gandhi is hurted by kind of comments or photos uploaded on this sites. He need to understand what the common man thinks of you & your govt, its the feeling what they share about. If your Act is gonna be like DEVIL,you still think you worshipped like GOD.

Many public figures have criticised this move:

Member of Parliament Rajeev Chandrasekhar said on popular micro-blogging site Twitter, "Can u imagine some bureaucrat in Dept of Telecom being tasked with approving content on internet, of deciding appropriate n inappropriate."
Expressing his disapproval, stockbroker Rakesh Jhunjhunwala tweeted "Don't think Sibal even understands the Internet. This happens when you make a lawyer an IT Minister. Like hiring Mayawati for an item song."
Author and socialite Shobhaa De tweeted "Sibal saab, such outrage 2 protect privacy of one 'Madam' in a country of 100 million internet users? We like our freedom and we shall have it!"

FDI in Retail dangerous for India & benficial for US and Europe

Are we on the same track what we did in 17th Century by allowing East India Company to trade in India?.FDI in retail will “enslave India” – in the way that the East India Company did.
Indian government was acting under external pressure instead of working for the people of the country by allowing FDI in retail. The merits of FDI touted by the government were unsubstantiated & misleading the nation.Governments in the US, and Europe have been pressurising the Indian government to allow multinational companies based in their countries to be ‘specifically’ allowed  into in the banking, insurance and retail sectors under the veil of fiscal reforms.

The Congress-led central government may raise FDI in single-brand retail to 100 per cent from 51 per cent at present. It is also said to be planning to permit 51 per cent FDI in multi-brand retail, with conditions including the purchase of at least a third of goods from local companies.
The government has argued that the decision is an attempt to tame food inflation and boost the economy by stimulating demand and consumer spending.Inflation is a global phenomenon and big corporations like Walmart have not helped to tame food inflation anywhere.
The big players who are expected to enter the Indian market once the proposal is agreed upon, Walmart, Carrefour and Tesco, are largely dependent on groceries for their profits, and it has been shown everywhere in the world including in the US, that groceries are more expensive at supermarkets.
Govt. claims that  farmers would benefit from the move.It doesn’t make sense for retailers to procure from farms which are less than 10 hectares in area, which constitute a more that 96 percent of the total agricultural land.
Exploitation by organisations like Walmart have been recorded across the globe. They don’t allow trade unions, they don’t allow employee unions, they have the worst environment records.Germany has kept Walmart out of its markets.
Govt. again gone wrong when it claimed that 40-50 lakh jobs would be created if Walmart, Metro, Carrefour and Tesco came to India, whereas 90% of their business is in foodgrains in which the present turnover here is $4 billion and there are 1.10 lakh jobs. The turnover should be $180 billion to create 40-50 lakh jobs.

If FDI in retail sector is allowed, small traders will lose their jobs, as their products or services will not be able to compete with foreign traders.
NO FDI in India......

Inflation SLAPS Common Man

Its really strange to see one common man slaps to heavy weight politician Mr.Sharad Pawar & it created nuisance in the country.

But we forget, his public statements about inflation slaps everyday to common man.Again, we cant point only Mr.Pawar as solely responsible for inflation, its UPA government policies which cant find way to overcome this problem.

The ever increasing inflation has forced the common man to borrow money from banks and other financial institutions. The consequences, of course people have to stand with indefinite debts or either have to cut down on their lifestyle or beg for hike in compliance with inflation to assist them move at the forefront.
Although common man is fighting this never-stopping price rise on Delhi's streets, whereas our politicians are finding ways to cope with the same issues in AC and other luxuries. Government is busy solving internal conflicts by supporting other party. And the question that arises here is who is thinking about the problems faced by common man.
Finance ministry hopes that inflation will come down till years end, but the issue that rises here is, Is government taking the "inflation" issue only on the political lines???? Inflation in America has been consistent apart from the year 1970, when an unexpected percentage rise was encountered. However, the American govt. managed to deal with the issue at once.
The middle class requires a lot of financial planning as well as retirement planning that usually everyone forgets. Under all these circumstances, the survival of common man is becoming tougher and tougher. With so much to lose, nobody is expected to gain, and a much serious thought is expected by the govt. to meet the current obligations.

TRP War : Is Obscenity the only way to gain popularity....

BIGG BOSS, RAKHI KA INSAAF,ISS JUNGLE SE MUJHE BACHAO......

In order to gain TRP,Reality Shows are ready to serve obscenity & vulgarity to the audience without categorizing target group.SUNNY LEONE-Porn star in BIGG BOSS-5,Pamela Anderson in BIGG BOSS-4,Bikini wears in Jungle se Bachao, vulgar questions asked in Sach ka Saamna were clearly televised to increase TRPs.

The intention behind the invention of television was to educate people and make them aware about the latest developments. This was one of the easiest ways to educate even an illiterate. However, in recent years we can easily see that this concept in no longer surviving. People are getting glued to television, in order to see soaps, fashion, and reality shows. They are rarely concerned about the actual news. Even news channels today are more like entertainment channels. They have surely made a deep dent on Indian culture, where people are forgetting their culture and values and are getting washed with the western culture. People have stopped reading books and they believe that they can learn more from television.
Media needs to play constructive role in developing the minds of youth of the country, but it seems to be playing destructive role in society.

Child Labor: Barrier to Socio-Economic Development

The future of a community is in the well being of its CHILDREN. The above fact is beautifully expressed by Wordsworth in his famous linesChild is Father of the Man”.
So it becomes imperative for the health of a nation to protect its children from premature labor which is hazardous to their mental, physical, educational and spiritual development needs. It is urgently required to save children from the murderous clutches of social injustice and educational deprivation, and ensure that they are given opportunities for healthy, normal and happy growth.
Several reasons giving birth to child labor are poverty, illiteracy, scarcity of schools, ignorance, socially regressive practices, blind customs and traditions, migration and last but not the least corruption amongst employees and government labor organizations.

Concerned about the future of its children India has implemented a country- wide ban recently, on children below 14yrs working in the hospitality sector and as domestics. It is intended that those who are found to violate the law will be fined with approx.Rs.20K and sent into rigorous imprisonment for 2 yrs.
Children in India are not allowed to work in mines, factories and other hazardous jobs already.2 more professions have been added in a list of 57 occupations which were considered hazardous for a child’s development needs in the ‘Child Labor Act’ passed in 1986.
Childs rights activists are waxing eloquent in high pitched voices about the absolute importance of stopping child labor. But legislation in this regard is just like an intention.
It is more important to take development measures to ensure its practical implementation by Eliminating the Reasons of CHILD LABOR from our society.

Against Congress means you are supporter of BJP or RSS: as defined by Diggi Raja

Congress party has made Digvijay Singh in-charge of defending party on any kind of attack made by anybody in India & link them to opposition party BJP & RSS's conspiracy to defame UPA government.
Sometimes its unbelievable, how such a senior leader can make such irresponsible public statements.Anybody raising their voice against corruption or govt.then they are smashed. If Arvind Kejriwal had gone on study leave & havn't paid his taxes then it become crime after 6 years,If Kiran Bedi entitled to travel in Business Class & charge the same fare but she travels by economy class & saving money then it becomes crime.
Ramdev Baba & Sri Sri Ravishankar talks about corruption (in other words opposing the govt.) then they become BJP & RSS's mouthpiece.Anna Hazare being asked about his honesty & fund raised by his associates.
But Congress & its associates fails to explains their funding source.Diggi Raja move one more step ahead in defending accused of Common Wealth Games Mr. Kalmadi by praying to god so that he can come clean after trial & addressing most wanted terrorist of world as OSAMAJI.
Does he really understand the sentiments of people, what to speak & when to speak?Such leaders are dangerous for the country. We are expecting our leaders to beahve maturely & think for country's progress.

Creation of Smaller States in India-Economic Burden on people

Purvanchal,HaritPradesh,Bundelkhand,Bagelkhand,Gorakhland,Bodoland,Telangana,Vidarbha.....
How many more small states we will keep creating just for the sake of political mileage??????.
Politicians have good reason to crave new states based on development, easier to manage, good governance. They forget basically they are following Britisher's policy of divide & rule.
Creating a smaller states become economic burden on common people & opportunity to earn huge money by local politicians.
All expenses will be bear by people.New state will new set of judiciary, police force, administrative staff, new capital, new set of ministers etcc...

If we are really committed to good governance then it can be done with current existing system also but the problem is the will power, even after creation of new states problem will not be solved & its threat to our NATIONAL INTEGRATION.

Reform in Indian Political System-Break the Monopoly of Elder Leaders & Political family

DEMOCRACY is the buzz word for our political system.
What kind of democracy is this where a nation with  majority of voting population lies between 18- 40yrs elects a majority of people above 60 to power? Are we really satisfied with the way our country is being governed? Should it not bother us that at the age people generally take retirement and rest, our politicians actually become eligible to be at the helm of affairs? Why is it so that people below 50 years are considered as too young in Indian politics?

The country desperately needs some young leaders who personify energy, enthusiasm, morality, and diligence. No doubt we have progressed a lot in the last 64years but the development pace would have been completely different had some young torchbearers led this process of development like Sanjay Gandhi,Rajesh Pilot,Pramod Mahajan.

Nowadays we have only a handful of young leaders like Rahul Gandhi, Sachin Pilot, Milind Deora, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Varun Gandhi, etc, but they are in the political scenario because they belong to influential political families. It is next to impossible to find a young leader with no political family background.

Today, youth are not interested in actively participating in the political field. They are content with what they are doing and how the country is being governed & only feel its dirty politics. But this reason seems to hold no ground seeing the discontent shown by the youngsters towards cases like Anna Hazare's Jan Lokpal movement,Reservation system, Jessica lal murder case etc. The youth of modern India are aware of the problems faced by our country. Given a chance they would be ready to change the political condition of the country for better.

Time has come to reform political system & electoral system of India by adopting certain below mentioned actions:
  • Retirement age for contestant in elections should be 70yrs
  • Contestant should hold Bachelors Degree
  • No criminal record(if any case pending against them should come up clean through fast track court)
  • Foreigners having Indian Citizenship shouldn't be allowed to contest

As for the youth of our country, they can contribute in more ways than just contesting elections. Much can be done in areas like educating people, raising awareness about various social ills, and many other areas.

We can just wish that the next time we go to vote we find more names of youngsters who can make our country a better place to live in.

END of Corruption only through CHANGE of Attitude...

Recently I have visited my native place Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh & observed lot of illegal activities taking place.
  • Ticket checker didnt asked for photo ID proof while travelling in train.
  • State Transport bus not permitting passengers to board bus if they are travelling shorter distance(less than 25km).I had to board forcefully, claiming if they dont allow they I will have to call my influential brother.
  • Motorbike riders never wear helmet while driving & dont have side mirrors.
  • Teachers were missing from village school & were seen @ farmland & students were happy playing, eating mid-day meal.
  • People of 35-40yrs old were getting senior citizen pension (ofcourse not complete, part payment was going to Sarpanch) & senior citizens were starving.
  • Government officials want bribe even if all the documentation is provided.

People here thinks rules & regulation are not for them & they can easily find the way to get their work done.
So even if we have strong Lokpal Bill still these people will find out way to escape punishment,we need to teach ethics & principles in life.
Positive attitude can be only learn through strong education system.Ethics & principles are nurtured in initial schooling days,so we need to have POWERFUL & EFFICIENT EDUCATION SYSTEM to make our citizens MORALLY VERY STRONG

Jan Lokpal Bill protests expose ruling Congress failures...

An anti-corruption movement sweeping India has dealt a serious but not yet deadly blow to the ruling Congress party's chances of sweeping back to power in elections in 2014.

Almost two weeks of massive protests led by 74-year-old self-styled Gandhian activist Anna Hazare have exposed a party riven by a lack of leadership, indecision, poor judgment and out of touch with the concerns of a country of 1.2 billion people.

"In the hour of its greatest need, the Congress's top leaders have failed the party. Anna Hazare's movement threatens the survival of an UPA (coalition government) on the brink of breakdown," news magazine India Today said.

The Congress party of the Nehru-Gandhi dynasty, in power for most of the time since independence in 1947, must find a way to rebound for key state elections next year and national elections in 2014.

Recent opinion polls show the Hindu nationalist opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) edging ahead of the Congress party after the Hazare movement threw an unknown element into national politics, the middle-class vote.

Hazare rallied millions of predominantly urban middle class, angry at the government's inability to crack down on rampant corruption, made evident by the arrest of a minister and the poor state of infrastructure and services in a country that has grown at around eight percent per annum over the last few years.

The crisis has also taken a toll on governance. A series of key bills, including one on land acquisition reform and plans to open up the retail sector to foreign companies, has stalled.

Economic growth is set to slow over the next few years, with the central bank, cutting its forecast to below eight percent for this year, a minimum requirement to lift millions out of poverty and repair or rebuild crumbling roads and facilities.

Digvijay Singh: Irresponsible statements in Public

Its strange how can senior politician like Digvijay Singh can make such irresponsible statements in public.Any crisis, scam happening in India, starts blaming Hindu organization like RSS,VHP,BD or BJP.
Is he forgetting SIMI's role in terrorism?
Is he trying to woo Muslims voters as if he is a Messiah for them?
He is talking about humanity for person like Osama by calling him "Osamaji" to cremated according to the rituals.
Why we need to show sympathy for such person who had committed cruel act on humans.
Diggy Raja wake up and speak sensibly in media.

LOKPAL or REVOLUTION?- Choice is of Indians

Just by having Jan Lokpal Bill will not ensure eradication of Corruption.India need REVOLUTION.We need to have leader like Mahatma Gandhi or Jai Prakash Narayan to bring this change in society.

People are fooled by politicians.Corrupt politicians are talking to remove corruption. Is it possible?Government doesnt intend to do so,if they would have been so serious then Lokpal bill would have been passed in 1969.High drama was created to form drafting committee but invain.
No need of lokpal, today's time demand REVOLUTION like in the year 2011, Egyptian revolution and the Tunisian revolution, that have rocked the very foundations of governments in the Arab world.

BLACK MONEY/SWISS BANK/INDIAN GOVT
